◄Who will believe what we will tell them about God's servant?/Hardly anyone will believe what we will tell them about God's servant.► [RHQ]
◄Very few people will see what Yahweh does by his great power./Who will see what Yahweh does by his great power?► [RHQ]
As God watches, my servant will grow up appearing to be very insignificant,
like a young plant that shoots up from an exposed root of a tree that is growing in dry ground.
There will be nothing beautiful or majestic about him,
nothing that would attract us to him.
◄He will be despised and rejected/people will despise and reject him►.
He will endure much pain and he will suffer much.
His face will be so disfigured that people will not look at him;
we will despise him and think we should not pay any attention to him.

But he will bear the punishment for the sicknesses of our souls;
he will endure great pain for us.
But we will think that he is being punished by God,
afflicted for his own sins.
But he will be bruised because of the evil things we did;
he will be wounded because of our sins.
He will be beaten in order that things will go well for our souls,
and because they will whip him, our souls can be healed.
All of us have gone away from God like [SIM] sheep who have strayed away from their shepherd.
We have turned away from God's paths in order to walk on the paths we want.
But Yahweh will lay on him the punishment for all of our sins.

He will be abused and afflicted,
but he will not say anything to complain.
They will lead him to where they will execute him,
like they lead a lamb to where it will be slaughtered.
And just as a sheep does not make any noise when the shearer cuts off its wool,
he will not say anything [MTY] to complain when they kill him.
After they arrest him and put him on trial, they will take him away to execute him.
And no one [RHQ] will be able to talk about his descendants,
because he will die [EUP] without being married;
he will be afflicted for the wrong things that we have done.
Although he will never have done any wrong or deceived anyone,
they will plan to bury him where wicked people are buried,
but a rich man will bury his body after he dies.

10 But it will be Yahweh's will to afflict him and cause him to suffer.
And when he dies, Yahweh will make him to be an offering to remove the gullt of sinners.
But later he will have many spiritual children
and he will life ◄a long time/forever► after he becomes alive again,
and he will accomplish everything that Yahweh had planned.
11 When he sees all that he will accomplish because of his suffering,
he will be satisfied.
And because of what has happened to him,
my righteous servant will cause the guilt of many people to be ended,
because he will take away the guilt for their sins.
12 So I will consider him to be one of the truly great people;
he will be like a king who divides up the spoils among his troops after he defeats his enemies [MET],
because he will sacrifice his life and die.
He will permit himself to be considered a sinner,
but he will take away the guilt of many people,
and he will intercede/pray for those who have done things that are wrong.
