“Science has disproven God. Evolution and the Big Bang explain everything without needing a Creator.”

Science explains how nature works, but naturalism has no good explanation for why the universe began, why its laws are finely tuned for life, or where the coded information in DNA came from.

“If God is all-good and all-powerful, why is there so much suffering, cancer, and tragedy in the world?”

The Problem of Evil: calling anything truly evil assumes an objective moral standard, and God has answered evil at the Cross without destroying human free agency.

💡 Ask them back“When you call something 'evil' or 'unfair', by what objective moral standard are you judging it? In a purely godless universe of blind physical matter, how can anything be objectively evil rather than just chemically inconvenient?”

“The resurrection of Jesus is just a mythological legend copied from pagan mystery cults or invented by grieving disciples.”

A handful of historical facts granted by most scholars—including skeptics—is best explained by Jesus' bodily resurrection: His death by crucifixion, the empty tomb, the appearances, and the transformation of disciples and skeptics.

💡 Ask them back“Why would the disciples, who fled and hid when Jesus was arrested, suddenly risk beatings, prison, and execution insisting they had seen, touched, and eaten with the risen Jesus? People will die for what they believe is true—but who dies for a lie they know they invented?”

The law of causality says that whatever BEGINS to exist has a cause. God, by definition, never began—He is uncaused, eternal, and the ground of all being.

💡 Ask them back“If a line of dominoes is falling, can that line extend backwards into an infinite past? If there were an infinite number of dominoes before this one, could the present domino ever fall? Doesn't there have to be an Unmoved First Mover who pushed the first domino?”

“The Old Testament condones slavery, genocide, and cruelty. Your God is a moral monster.”

Read honestly and in context, the Law restrained a fallen ancient institution—making kidnapping a capital crime, protecting servants, and granting runaways asylum. The Canaanite wars were a specific judgment on atrocities like child sacrifice, not racial genocide.

💡 Ask them back“Did you know that Exodus 21:16 commands the death penalty for kidnapping a human being and selling him? The transatlantic slave trade was built on exactly that crime. And if you believe slavery is objectively wrong—as I do—where does that moral standard come from?”

“I can be good without God. Secular empathy and humanism are all we need for morality.”

The issue is not whether atheists can act morally, but whether objective moral values and duties can exist without a transcendent Lawgiver.

💡 Ask them back“I agree you can be a wonderful, moral person! But my question is: in a godless universe of blind atomic collisions, why is human kindness objectively GOOD, and why is murder objectively WRONG, rather than just subjective personal preference?”

“Faith is just believing something without evidence. I prefer reason and science.”

Biblical faith (pistis) is not a blind leap but trust based on evidence—the apostles pointed to eyewitness testimony and "many infallible proofs" (Acts 1:3). And everyone, atheists included, exercises trust every day.

💡 Ask them back“When you sit in a chair, board a plane, or take medicine your doctor prescribes, is that blind faith—or trust based on evidence? The Bible's word for faith means that second kind: trust in someone who has proven reliable. So what evidence would you need to trust Jesus?”

“Religion is just a crutch for weak people. You only believe because you're scared of death and want to feel comforted.”

Whether a belief comforts us tells us nothing about whether it is true—and that cuts both ways. The real question is whether Jesus rose from the dead. And a Gospel that begins by calling us guilty is a strange kind of wishful thinking.

💡 Ask them back“If I pointed out that atheism can be comforting too—no judgment, no one to answer to—would that prove atheism false? So isn't the real question not why either of us believes, but whether what we believe is actually true?”

“You're only a Christian because you were born in a Christian country. If you'd been born in India you'd be Hindu, and in Saudi Arabia you'd be Muslim.”

Where we grew up explains how we first heard an idea, not whether it is true—and the same logic applies to the skeptic's own views. Christianity was not born in the West, and faith in Christ cannot be inherited: every person must investigate and decide.

💡 Ask them back“That's true of a lot of beliefs—maybe yours too. If you'd been raised in a devout family in another country, you might not be a skeptic. Would that make your view false? So how could we find out which belief is actually true, whatever country we were born in?”

“Jesus is not the Son of God! God is One; He begets not, nor is He begotten. God cannot have a wife or physical child (Surah 112:3).”

Christians firmly agree that God has no physical consort and never fathered a child in a biological sense. "Son of God" is a title of divine nature and eternal relationship.

💡 Ask them back“Did you know the Bible agrees that God never had sexual relations with anyone? In the Bible, 'Son of God' means the eternal Word of God made flesh. Did you know the Quran in Surah 4:171 also calls Isa 'His Word' and 'a spirit from Him'—which is why he is honored with titles like Kalimatullah and Ruhullah? “Jesus was never crucified! Allah took him to heaven, and someone else was made to look like him on the cross (Surah 4:157).”

Jesus' crucifixion is one of the best-attested events of ancient history, reported by Roman, Jewish, and Christian sources within a century of the event—roughly 600 years before the Quran.

💡 Ask them back“If God substituted someone else on the cross so that everyone believed Jesus died, wouldn't God Himself be responsible for the rise of Christianity through a deception? And why would a Roman historian like Tacitus, who despised Christians, report that Christ was executed under Pontius Pilate?”

The Quran tells Christians to judge by the Gospel they had (Surah 5:47) and says no one can change Allah's words—and manuscripts from centuries before Muhammad show the same Gospel message we read today.

💡 Ask them back“If the Bible was corrupted, WHEN did it happen—before Muhammad or after? We have complete Bibles like Codex Sinaiticus and Codex Vaticanus from over 250 years before Muhammad was born, and they carry the same Gospel message we read today. So when and where was it changed?”

“The Trinity means three gods (God, Mary, and Jesus - Surah 5:116). Christians are polytheists.”

The Trinity is ONE God in three co-equal, co-eternal Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Christians reject polytheism, and no Christian creed has ever placed Mary in the Godhead.

💡 Ask them back“Did you know the Bible firmly rejects polytheism? Deuteronomy 6:4 says: 'The LORD our God, the LORD is ONE!' We believe in ONE God in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Quran rejects saying 'Allah is the third of three' (5:73) and pictures Jesus being asked whether he told people to take him and his mother as gods (5:116). 💡 Ask them back“In John 8:58, Jesus said: 'Before Abraham was, I AM.' Why did the Jewish leaders instantly pick up stones to stone Him for blasphemy if He never claimed to be God? And in John 20:28, when Thomas called Jesus 'My Lord and My God!', why did Jesus commend him instead of rebuking him?”

“The Bible prophesies Muhammad—he is the prophet like Moses in Deuteronomy 18:18, and the Comforter (Paraclete) Jesus promised in John 14:16.”

Deuteronomy 18 promises a prophet "from your midst, from your brethren"—an Israelite—and the New Testament applies it to Jesus (Acts 3:22-26). The Paraclete is the invisible Holy Spirit who would live in the disciples, given at Pentecost—not a man who came six centuries later.

💡 Ask them back“In John 14:17, Jesus said the Helper is someone 'the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.' 💡 Ask them back“In Hebrews 1:5, God asks: 'To which of the angels did He ever say, You are My Son?' And in verse 6, your New World Translation says the angels are to 'do obeisance to him.' 💡 Ask them back“Did you know that ancient Talmudic sages also recognized two portraits of Messiah in the Tanakh—Messiah ben Joseph who is slain, and Messiah ben David who reigns? 💡 Ask them back“In Isaiah 53:8, the prophet writes: 'For the transgressions of MY PEOPLE he was stricken.' If the suffering servant is the nation of Israel, who are 'my people'? And has the nation of Israel ever been completely sinless and silent like a lamb (v. 7, 9)?”

Don't defend it—grieve it and say you are sorry. Then gently separate the Messiah from those who used His name: Yeshua was a Jew, His apostles were Jews, and He commanded love, not hatred. Those who persecuted Jews disobeyed Him.

💡 Ask them back“You're right to be angry, and I'm sorry for what was done to your people in Jesus' name. May I ask one question? If Yeshua was a Jewish teacher who told His followers to love even their enemies, were the people who burned synagogues following Him—or betraying Him?”

The first followers of Yeshua were all Jews, and they never stopped being Jewish—the early debate was whether Gentiles had to become Jews. Believing that Israel's Messiah has come is not leaving Israel. But be honest: many families and communities will see it as leaving, and that cost is real.

Respect the sincere search, but the religions don't describe the same God or the same goal, and even Hindu schools disagree with one another. Jesus didn't claim to be one path among many; He claimed to be God come down to bring us home.

💡 Ask them back“If one path says God is an impersonal reality you are ultimately one with, another says God is a personal Lord you will love forever, and Buddhism teaches no creator at all, can all of those describe the same thing? Judas Iscariot walked with Jesus for three years and was sent out with the Twelve to preach and heal (Matthew 10:1-8), yet he was lost. Have you personally repented and experienced the new birth that Jesus spoke of in John 3:3?”

⚖️ Good Person

“You don't know what I've done. God could never forgive someone like me.”

The Gospel is not for good people; it is for sinners, and no sin is bigger than the blood of Jesus. Paul, a former persecutor of Christians, called himself the chief of sinners—and said God saved him to show that no one is beyond His mercy.

💡 Ask them back“Can I ask you something? If Jesus' death was enough to pay for the sins of the whole world, is your sin the one thing too big for it? Is it possible that what you've done is big—but what Jesus did is bigger?”

“Who are you to judge me? Jesus said, "Judge not" (Matthew 7:1).”

Jesus condemned hypocritical, self-righteous judging—not moral discernment (Matthew 7:5; John 7:24). I'm not your judge; I'm a fellow sinner warning you that God will judge us both, and telling you where to find mercy.

💡 Ask them back“When you tell me I shouldn't judge, aren't you making a moral judgment about me right now? And did you know that four verses later Jesus says, 'First remove the plank from your own eye, and THEN you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye'? He wants us to help each other—just not as hypocrites.”

“The church is full of hypocrites. Why would I want to be part of that?”

Agree—there are hypocrites in church, and Jesus condemned hypocrisy more fiercely than anyone. But hypocrites don't disprove Jesus; a counterfeit implies that the genuine exists.

💡 Ask them back“You're right, and Jesus agreed with you—He called religious hypocrites 'whitewashed tombs' (Matthew 23:27). But can you name one thing Jesus taught that He didn't live? And on Judgment Day, will pointing at hypocrites be a defense for you or me?”

“The Bible has been translated so many times it's like the telephone game. There's no way we know what it originally said.”

Modern Bibles are translated directly from Hebrew and Greek manuscripts, not down a chain of translations. With about 5,800 Greek New Testament manuscripts and the Dead Sea Scrolls, scholars can recover the original text with remarkable confidence.

💡 Ask them back“In the telephone game, each person hears the message once and nobody can check the original. What if you had thousands of written copies, from different places and centuries, that you could lay side by side and compare? Could you work out the original message then?”

“Jesus never even existed—he's a myth copied from Horus, Mithras, and other pagan gods.”

Virtually every historian of antiquity—Christian or not—agrees Jesus existed and was crucified under Pilate. The "copycat" parallels rely on late sources or on details that don't appear in the ancient myths at all.

💡 Ask them back“Can you show me an ancient source that says Horus was born of a virgin on December 25th, had twelve disciples, and was crucified? And if even Bart Ehrman—an agnostic scholar who wrote a whole book on this question—concludes that Jesus certainly existed, why do you think virtually all historians agree?”

“What about people in remote places who never heard of Jesus? Is God going to send them to hell?”

God is perfectly just and will judge each person by the light they had (Romans 1:20; 2:14-16), and He draws those who seek Him (Acts 17:26-27). But you have heard—so what will you do with Jesus?

💡 Ask them back“Do you trust that the Judge of all the earth will do what is right (Genesis 18:25)? And since you have heard about Jesus and they haven't, isn't the more urgent question what you will do with Him?”

“Religion has caused most of the wars in history. The world would be better off without it.”

The historical data don't support it—the Encyclopedia of Wars classifies only about 7% of recorded wars as primarily religious—and the 20th century's officially atheist regimes killed tens of millions. Abuse doesn't disprove the thing abused, and Jesus taught love of enemies.

💡 Ask them back“If religion causes most wars, which religion was behind World War I, World War II, or the purges of Stalin and Mao? And when someone does violence in Jesus' name, are they following His command to 'love your enemies' (Matthew 5:44)—or disobeying it?”

“I'm young. I'll think about God later, once I've lived my life.”

No one is promised tomorrow (Proverbs 27:1; James 4:14), and every "not now" makes the heart harder. Now is the day of salvation—and following Jesus isn't a waste of youth but the best way to live it.

💡 Ask them back“Do you know for certain that you'll be alive next week? If you knew you would die tonight, would you want to make things right with God first? Then why wait on something that important?”

“How can a loving God send anyone to hell? That's not fair.”

Because God is good, He must be just—a judge who ignores crime is corrupt. Hell is the just penalty for sin against an infinitely holy God, yet God wants no one to perish and paid the penalty Himself at the Cross.

💡 Ask them back“If a judge let a man who had raped and murdered go free because 'the judge is loving,' would that judge be good or corrupt? So if God is good, must He punish evil? And if He does, where does that leave you and me?”

“Salvation is only for the true twelve tribes of Israel—Black, Hispanic, and Native American people. White people are Edomites, and they will be slaves in the kingdom. Read Deuteronomy 28!”

God's covenant with Abraham was to bless ALL nations. The Gospel in Christ breaks every racial barrier; all who believe are Abraham's seed.

💡 Ask them back“In Genesis 12:3 and Genesis 22:18, God told Abraham: 'In your seed ALL the nations of the earth shall be blessed.' And in Galatians 3:28, the Bible says: 'There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female; for you are all ONE in Christ Jesus.' Is God a respecter of persons or skin color?”

Hell is not a party: Jesus described it as darkness and separation from every good thing God gives, including friendship. And you don't have to take a chance at all—Jesus took the penalty so you can know you are forgiven.

💡 Ask them back“Would you take those chances with anything else? If there were a real possibility that a building was on fire, would you stay inside because your friends were there too? And if God has made a way for you to be sure, why gamble?”

“That's just your interpretation. There are thousands of denominations—everyone reads the Bible their own way.”

Christians disagree on secondary matters, but the historic churches agree on the core: one God, Jesus fully God and fully man, crucified for our sins and risen. Most of the Bible is plain, and the question is not whether it can be interpreted but what it actually says.

💡 Ask them back“When you read a text message or a news article, do you assume it can mean anything, or do you try to understand what the writer meant? Why should the Bible be different? Could we read a passage together and see what it plainly says?”

“Christianity was forced on people by the sword. It spread through colonialism and slavery—missionaries came with the soldiers and took the land.”

Admit it honestly: real wrongs were done in Christ's name, including forced conversions and Christians who defended slavery. But Jesus forbade the sword for His kingdom, the faith spread for three centuries with no army behind it, Christians led the fight against these abuses, and today most Christians live in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

💡 Ask them back“You're right that terrible things were done in Jesus' name. But when someone forces a baptism at sword-point, are they obeying Jesus—who told Peter to put his sword away—or disobeying Him? And if the faith was only a colonial tool, why did it keep growing fastest in Africa and China after the colonisers and missionaries had gone?”

💡 Ask them back“In Hebrews 13:8, the Bible says: 'Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.' Where does the New Testament say that healing would stop before Jesus returns? And if you were in pain right now, would you mind if I prayed a 15-second prayer for God to touch your body?”
